A Country of Fallen Stars
On September 18, 1988, after military seized power and opened fire on peaceful, student-led pro-democracy protesters, killing an estimated 3,000 people. There is a famous photo taken on September 19, 1988, when a schoolgirl, Win Maw Oo was shot and two young doctors carrying her to save her life. Here is the article of these two doctors, Dr. Saw Lwin and Dr. Min Thein, in this photo.
