ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ျမန္မာလို blog ေရးခ်င္ေနခဲ့တာ ၾကာျပီ။ အဲ့ဒါနဲ ့ Unicode ႐ွာပံုေတာ္ဖြင့္ လိုက္တာ ေနာက္ဆံုး Myanmar1 ကေတာ့ "the one" ပဲ၊ ေရလည္မိုက္တယ္ေပါ့ ဆိုျပီ သံုးမယ္လို ့ႀကံကာပဲ႐ွိေသးတယ္ blogger ရဲ ့script တစ္ခ်ိဳ ့ေၾကာင့္ ထင္ပါတယ္၊ FF မွာ ေကာင္းေကာင္း render မလုပ္ဘူး၊ IE မွာေတာင္ရတယ္။ FF မွာဆိုလည္း တျခားhosting / local မွာ ေအးေဆးပဲ။
ahhhhh I'm typing sooooooooooo slowly in Burmese. gotta practice more. 
so... that's the story of Myanmar1 font with me. But that font is really smart one. I'll talk about it later. Now I chose this zawgyi font for the time being. Reason one is for compatibility. (my blogger friends are using this). Reason two is that this is the most beautiful Myanmar Unicode font both in Burmese and English.

ေနာက္မွ .eot embedded font လည္းစမ္းၾကည့္ရအံုးမယ္။ ဟိုးအရင္တုန္းက ဒီမွာ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ သံုးခဲ့ဖူးတယ္။ သူက IE မွာပဲရတာ။ ဘာပဲျဖစ္ျဖစ္ IE သမားက 90% ႐ွိတာပဲ။ လုပ္လိုက္ပါ့မယ္။ ျပႆနာက အဲ့ဒီ့ eot file ကို ဘယ္အရပ္မွာ သြားထားရမွန္း မွန္း မသိေသးဘူး။ 

Anyway, so far so good. Please get zawgyi-one and install if u still haven’t done it yet. I feel awkward to post Burmese as image u know...

Wake up Burma!!!

I have been thinking more about Burma these days after reading Dr. Salai Tun Than’s open letter to SPDC. He proposed three choices (plus to release all political prisoners) for SPDC. Of course it is so sure that SPDC will not listen. There were already a couple of roadmaps proposed which SPDC never accepted. They moved on their own way not to relinquish this power chair. Oh yeah… they have their own roadmap, which will lead to make them ultimate dictator of Burma. (Or the king possessing all the souls of Burmese people.) SPDC steps are getting worse and worse these days. They do not care ILO. They even threatened ILO representative. People who sent complaint about forced laboring to ILO were sued and jailed. Now they even pay no attention to ASEAN they loved. It is almost sure that UN Security Council will discuss this Burma issue. But it looks like SPDC doesn’t care in the least.

Ok… let’s go back to Dr. Salai Tun Than’s letter. His letter stated that he will start five steps of “general political defiance” if SPDC do not listen to his proposal. He did not disclose what these steps are. But he challenged that these steps will scare SPDC. Whatever it is this campaign can be accomplished only when people participate. But you know what? Majority of People do not want to sacrifice. 8888 uprising happened because students started and marched at the front. SPDC knew that fact and moved all Universities out of all major cities. 

But I believe in Dr. Salai Tun Than. He will act what he said. At the same time, UN will act. So, Burma, please wake up. With pressures both from inside and outside, SPDC will fall down. SPDC still thinks they can manipulate Burmese people as they want. Now, it is time for Burma to scare SPDC.

Stardust with Aerogel

Stardust space capsule is home now. It came back capturing samples of interstellar dusts.
ok, I not an astronomer and not interested in interstellar dusts.
But there is one thing I fancy in that Stardust spacecraft.
It is aerogel. Aerogel is a strange material used in Stardust to capture very small interstellar and cometary particles.

It is semi-elastic but if the elastic limit is exceeded, it will shatter like glass.
It is ligher than air.
It looks like a hologram when you hold it.

Though with a ghostly appearance like an hologram, aerogel is very solid. It feels like hard styrofoam to the touch.


It is a good thermal insulator.

A 2.5 kg brick is supported on top of a piece of aerogel weighing only 2 grams

The lost world

For four days and four nights, I’ve been listening Alanis Morissette's MTV Unplugged. I’d listened normal versions but this unplugged is new one I got. 

“You Oughta Know” is the song she wrote about someone specific with whom she had a relationship.
